Simon Treadwell
Dr Simon Treadwell is Senior Associate and Practice Leader for the aquatic ecology business at Sinclair Knight Merz. Sinclair Knight Merz is Australia's largest employee owned provider of environmental and engineering consulting services to government and private sector clients both in Australia and around the world. Simon has an under-graduate degree in Agricultural Science from La Trobe University and a Master of Science and PhD in aquatic ecology from Monash University. Simon has worked throughout south eastern Australia on a range of projects relating to ecological impact and risk assessment, water quality and habitat assessment, environmental flows and general river, floodplain and wetland ecology. He has completed numerous enviornmental flows assessments across Victoria and more broadly undertaken a detailed assessment of the impacts of increased demands for water and climate change on rivers and wetlands across Victoria. More recetly he has been working on the impacts of Coal Seam Gas extraction on surface waters and on developing improved management strategies for Groundwater Dependent Ecosystemd.
Simon and his wife Kylie live in Melbourne with their three children, Sarah (11), Ryan (8) and Archie (4)
